Friday's Featured Cocktail: Mario Batali's "Red Beer"

Today's featured cocktail is one of Mario Batali's favorite "hydration beverages," as he recently described it in the New York Times Magazine. The Red Beer:

• Put two ice cubes in a highball glass.
• Add 4 shakes of Tabasco, 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, and 3 ounces of V8 juice.
• Squeeze in half a lime.
• Fill the glass with a cold pilsner beer.
• Shake some saltinto the foamy head.
• Finally, as Mario says, "Commence hydration."
